A podiatrist diagnoses and treats a broad range of foot conditions. A pedorthist specialises in the design, manufacture and fitting of custom orthotics, footwear and AFOs. For diabetic patients in particular, the right footwear and orthotic prescription can be critical in preventing serious complications. The two disciplines work well together and many of our patients come to us via a podiatrist referral.
